Greetings to fellow acad97 users,
i had just intalled this application from an old CD i had.
i need it for my 90 year old granpa who doesn't want to learn
the new version. in fact, i think his original version was even earlier
it was acad95, but that's as good as i can do these days...

so i have acad97 installed and it worksfine , with the exception that
upon exiting the program i always get the following error:

acad.exe - Application error:
the instruction at "0x008c233e" referenced memory at "0x054b31dc".
the memory could not be "read".

click ok to terminate the program

any ideas what is wrong here:
i got another app (also acad97) from a friend, and it
had a simmilar probelm

i have xp pro vesion 2002 SP2
intel core duo t7500 2.2GHz
3.50 GB RAM (it says, shouldn't it really be 4>)

and i installed without VB support (i was told that was
a serious source of headaches)

i also happen to have autoCAD 2005 on the machine.

thanks for any help,
cheers, gil
