Ghost Quick Leader Arrowheads

In a landscape drawing, which I had to recover due apparently to a hatching issue, I now find ghost arrowheads. These arrowheads are parts of quick leaders in an x-ref'd drawing (the base data for the landscape drawing). Only the arrowheads show, not the leader lines. The layer for these quick leaders is turned off in the landscape drawing. The ghost arrowheads do not show in the drawing, except in Plot Preview and on the Plot itself. I assume this is some kind of drawing corruption, but is there a possible work-around to remove the ghosts from appearing in plots?

I have sometimes the same problem and I have found out, that this only
happens with the filled big circle arrowhead. Use any other arrowhead and it
will disappear. The only way is to redefine the quick leader.
