Help needed!
When trying to open AutoCad LT 2000 I get this message:

"Auto Cad Lt Error Aborting

FATAL ERROR: All of the possible directories for storing temporary files
either do not exist or are read-only. Please correct this situation
before running AutoCad LT again."

When hitting the OK button, the program terminates.
All of my temp-files are not read-only.
I am running the program on Windows 2000 professional.
I have uninstalled the program, deleted all remaining files and
installed it again, but I still get the error messages and it
terminates.

What to do?
Pls help me.

/Krister

Krister,

Its not the files it is the directory.
You need a temp directory that is not read-only.
Ensure that you have a read-write temp directory.

Oh and by the way check for a temp file in the root directory.
If one exists rename it as this will prevent the directory being created.

Regards Gary.

The problem is solved.
It turns out that it was windows that, without reason, set the temp catalog
to read only. When setting the catalog to not read only and accept it,
windows did change it to read only.
Rename the temp catalog and make a new temp catalog, moving the maps and
files from the old one to the new did do the trick.

Thanks anyway
