I am currently experiencing the same problem, but in Autocad LT 2005. (Missing Application:IRD) will this problem still occur in full Autocad 2005? Will it be repaired effectively if we get MAP or LDD? We cannot bind the Xrefs to our drawings (it displays an error due to proxy graphics), despite the reference locations being valid.

IF you do not have the same exact application the file sender used, you will
need to ask the file sender to explode the file for you to dumb it down so
that you can use it in plain AutoCAD or LT.

Another option is to see if there is an Object Enabler you can load in LT or
full AutoCAD that may help with the problem. Work the exercise, the results
