we recently had one of our workstations accidentally
lose the command line and cannot seem to get it
back. I have tried changing the "number" of lines
from 3 to 5 (and so on..) in the config dialog box
to no avail. "F2" will open up the "text window" and
show the command line but it will not dock to the
bottom of the window....any thoughts?

if anyone knows how to fix this can you email to:

dmac...@channel1.com

thanks in advance

Look under your windows toolbar. If you put it on autohide you can see under
it.

The command line can be inadvertently
moved off screen (i.e., off the visible Windows desktop). Sometimes
changing the screen resolution temporarily, and then back again will
restore it to a visible location. As a last resort, you can use RegEdit,
to fix it in the System Registry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Autodesk/AutoCAD/R14.0/ACAD-nnn.../Fixed
Profile/Command Line Window/Dock Window Position ... set it to "0"

(This is a copy of an earlier post on one of these NG's. I copied and saved it 'cause I knew it
would come in handy...<G>)

Hope this helps...

In windows 95?? go to your start button, settings, taskbar, remove the
'always on top check' and apply the autohide check. Apply it and you
should see your command line at the bottom
