When I try to use HATCHEDIT command to change a Hatch style, I get the
following message:

Selected object must be a hatch object or associative hatch block.
HATCHEDIT does not support old-format non-associative hatch blocks.

The drawing I am working on, I inherited from someone else and it may
have been created in an earlier version of Acad....I'm not sure.

Any ideas how I can make it a hatch object or block.....LISP file maybe
?

Thanks

Stuart

The error message says it all, doesn't it? The only way to overcome it is
to erase the hatch and re-create it.

Have you tried using the Convert command to convert the old hatch to new
hatch. Sometimes this will work, sometimes it doesn't but it's worth a shot!

Current method not available. but it is possible to recreate the hatch and
gather the points it may have had at one time by writing a lisp command to
reconstruct the hatch into an associative hatch if written in R14.

I'll be working on this later, when I finish it I'll send you a copy.

AutoCAD R14 Only - sorry.
