I just recently added a Umax Astra 610p scanner to my system. Now I am
getting the following message when I start up R14.

Fatal Error Unhandled Access Violation Exception at bff780c0h.

Any Suggestions?

Thanks,
Scot

Hello Scot,

in our Technical Documents section is a a new document titled

"FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation Exception"

Go to

"http://www.autodesk.com" and search for "unhandled". This document
explains the various causes for the error "Fatal Error: Unhandled Access
Violation Exception" in AutoCAD Release 14. Also included are methods for
recovering a corrupt drawing if it is found to be the cause of the error.

Another important information if you are runnning NT 4.0 with SP 3 is
written in the README of the SP 3:

*** Adding New Components to the System

If new software or hardware components are changed or added to your system

after you have applied the Service Pack, it will be necessary to reapply
the Service Pack. This is because the files taken from the original
Windows NT disk set may not be equivalent to the files on the Service Pack

disk set.

So you have installed some new drivers, and maybe this could cause the
problem.

I hope I could help you.

Best regards
