Anyone know why we get a message "hatch spacing too dense, or dash size
too small" when hatching large polygons, but when we hatch small
polygons it works? we need to use the same hatch scale for both but have
to go bigger on the larger polygons. So when we are done the hatch looks
different for the small compared to the large polys. Thank you.

Assuming R14...read the Readme file. Search on MaxHatch; it's clearly
explained there.

No, Kerry but I was logging on to ask the same question. If you figure
it out *please* let me know!

OK....ONE MORE TIME !!

Read your R14 Readme file. Look for information on MaxHatch. Do what it
says. (You can get to Readme via the Help system.)

We found that typing out the full "hatch" command and entering the variables
worked, but check the readme file as well

Interesting. Are you saying the HATCH command is not bound by the
limitations of MaxHatch as the BHATCH command is?

Hmmm.

Thank's to all that sent me the answer instead of just saying read the file.
The answer is set the MaxHatch to 75000. You do this by typing (setenv
"MaxHatch" "75000") yes include the (")

Pardon me, Kerry, but if more folks read what little documentation
Autodesk DOES provide, there would be a lot less repetition of trivia on
these NG's and more bandwidth for constructive discussion of real,
undocumented problems and fixes.

Okay, okay, Paul. GEEZ! Thanks for the info. I didn't read all the
little fine print, errata, oh-I-forgots, and all the other crap. But I
did, when you posted the reply. As for bandwidth and constructive
questions (mentioned in one of your other messages): there are no
stupid questions.

Thanks for the help (albeit ascerbic),
