There are third-party programs that add wheel support. I don't know what
ones they are, offhand. You might be able to find some pointers in older
messages in this newsgroup, or in the digitize-display newsgroup.

Zooming with the wheel is an undocumented feature of Soft Engine by Vibrant
graphics.

the new microsoft drivers for the intelimouse let you scroll in autocad, plus other programs that didn't
scroll before such as notepad.

No, you will not be able to scroll in a DOS window, or in any DOS based
application.

I have to add my two cents...I have the wheel, so now in R14.01 I habitually
roll the wheel when I'm in the layer dialog box to get to the bottom. Of
course it does not work, but it would be nice. Also, for architectural and
structural 2d drafting (can't say I know about other disciplines and CAD
work methods) autosnap really is a good substitute for the middle mouse
button, and any non-running snaps can be easilly chosen with the icons.
Building plans are rather zoom and pan intensive, and the aerial viewer just
takes up space, I vote for a zoom and pan scroll like LT. And throw in
polar snaps and content explorer too please.
