Has anyone had this message when trying to perform various commands or dxfin
a file? It's the first time I have ever seen it. I cannot even perform
simple commands like LINE or TEXT.

Set LIMCHECK = 0. If = 1 it prevents you from drawing outside the current
limits settings.

Well, I just did a DDI and in it came into a new drawing. At least I can
work with it know. It would be nice to find out what the problem actually
was.
Thanks,
Sarah

Sarah,

What Tom offered was or should have been the answer to what
you described as your problem. LIMCHECK is a setting that
can also be accessed via the LIMITS command and your problem
drawing had LIMITS=ON which means your LIMCHECK=1

The LIMCHECK system variable:
Type: Integer
Saved in: Drawing
Initial value: 0

Controls creation of objects outside the drawing limits.

0 Objects can be created outside the limits
1 Objects cannot be created outside the limits
