Prints are sideways and cropped, HELP !!!

Hi Group,

I recently upgraded to win2000 and acad2000i, I have my printer (hp4500
color laser) set to landscape default. When I click print it rotates the
print as though it is printing on portrait, and moves it to the bottom of
the page. Is there a setting I need to know about or what am I doing wrong.
To get it to print correctly I have my pagesetup set to portrait and plot
upside down. HELP

hp4500 is not a roll feed, it is 8x11 desktop laser printer. The size is set
to portrait. Other wise it comes out rotated wrong, if i set it to landscape
it cropps off the end and rotates it.

With the hp600 you have two types, one with 24" roll feed and one for 36"
roll feed. If you install the driver for 24" roll feed then it always prints
portrait even though you use a 36" roll of paper. Could this be the same as
the hp450? The other problem is that the plot device custom properties paper
size is set to portrait, but you say it isn't.

Interesting. I know that if your drawing is a portrait and your printer is
set to portrait and your plot dialogue is portrait then everything is fine.
If you drawing is landscape, then you need your printer set to landscape and
the plot dialogue set to landscape. Use a separate pc3 file to have your
printer set to portrait and use a page setup name to reference the portrait
pc3 and the portrait plot setting for portrait drawings and another pc3 etc
for landscape settings.
This is what we do for the large drawings and it should work for you as
well.
