Tried using Calcomps tablet driver (Ver 4.2) and had the jumpy (ghost)
x-hairs. Uninstalled V4.2 driver
and installed Summa Version 2.1 Driver and problem disappeared. Tried
the reverse and the jumpy cursor
came back. Seems that the older Summa Driver seems to work best.

Win NT 4.0 SP 3
Intergraph PII 266
Matrox Millenium II
Summasketch III Professional
Microsoft Intellimouse
Autocad 14, Softdesk 8.02

Just thought I would throw my 2 cents in!!

Aras,
There seem to be some known problems with Ver 4.2 and older models.
According to Calcomp, these problems are fixed in the latest ver 5 driver at
the Calcomp site.

Carolyn,

Tried the new 5.1 Tabworks and it seems to work fine in AutoCAD, but I also use
Microstation 95,
and using this driver when you try to snap to endpoints, etc... the snaps are
offset to the right and down
a significant amount where you no longer are snapping to an element, which is
extremely annoying. I reinstalled the old driver (2.1) and it works fine. The
best and smoothest driver I found to be the Summagrphics Ver 2.1 for all
programs and is very stable. Calcomp needs to look at this driver and try to use
it as their basis when they want to enhance a driver.

Just thought you would like to know.
