ATI 3D RAGE PRO and Autocad R14

We recently purchased a new system running with an ATI 3D RAGE PRO card
with 8MB ram and running the current ATI driver for NT4 , 5.1.118 but have
noticed that in Autocad R14 when the display is set to 16 million colours,
if you draw in R14 then it leaves a scatter effect behind it when drawing.
If you put it down to 64k Colours then it vanishes. Since we plan on using
products like Viz, the 16million colours will prove necessary. Anyone else
encountered this, fixed it?

Hi David - Not a problem we are familiar with. Have you investigated
the possibility that the symptom relates to the monitor's refresh
rate? http://support.atitech.ca/infobase/2996.html has information
about this, and it looks like you can download an older revision of
the ATI driver to avoid this.

Hi David,
Try setting your hardware acceleration down 2 notches from full.

Right click on My Computer, Properties, Performance, Graphics.
