Wheel function changes. Bug?

I'm using a MS Intellimouse Pro w / A2k and, occasionally, while panning and
zooming with the wheel, the wheel loses its zoom capability and, from then
on, rolling the wheel will only scroll the drawing vertically. If I exit
and re-start A2k the wheel functionality returns to normal. Any ideas?

Frank - It might be helpful to install the latest driver from
Microsoft (2.2d) from
http://microsoft.com/products/hardware/mouse/driver/default.htm

Also, next time this happens, see if the current view was in
perspective mode, where regular panning and zooming aren't available.
