I keep hearing about the great new pan and zoom using the wheel on an
Intellimouse. I have a Logitech Wheel Mouse and it won't behave. I've
tried several of the middle mouse button settings in the Control Panel,
but none of the seem to allow me to zoom and pan properly. Any
solutions? Thank you.

And one more thing, when you get the wheel button worked, the images are
just jerked around not smooth as using the pan command and move the part
around.

Christian,

I have problems with wheel mice wanting to scroll and zoom simultaneously. To
avoid quickly, go to options-display and uncheck "Display scroll bars...".

Is that any better?

Actually, I already unchecked the display scroll bars in drawing window, however,
haven't had any better.

Christian,

i use the intelimouse drivers rather than the logitech ones. They seem
to work much cleaner.

Also, there is a sysvar called "zoomfactor" that adjusts how much zoom
per wheel scroll.

And the thing I hate most is ther right button. For regular 3-button mouse, I can use
the right button as a "return". Now when I lick the right buttron, another menu
pop-up and asked for "enter". Also I have to press ctrl & the right button to call out
the osnap menu. Also I found it's hard to pick up the snap. All these has been drving
me crazy since I got this mouse coupe weeks ago. Not sure how long I would get used to
it.

Christian

You might look into QuikPik from http://www.manusoft.com
It has a option for fast right clicks to be enter. Takes a little getting
used to also, but it helps.

To use a Logitech mouse with AutoCAD 2000 ensure the following are set in
the driver:-

Set the Button 2 option to 'Middle'
Set the Scrolling size option to 'None'

Christian,

I had the same problem with the a regular two button mouse.

If you're using ACAD2000 or MDT 4 you can make the right mouse button always (or sometimes, context/command sensitive) be a return. I
forget where the setting are but they are there. If you can't find them let me know and I'll take another look.
