It is my contention that Win 98 doesn't support a 21" monitor. I would
enjoy it if someone would prove otherwise.

Acad R14, Windows 98, 21 inch monitor, in display properties dialog
window, resolution set at 1600x1200 (Isn't this desirable for AutoCad
R14?). A lot of the text in different areas of Win98, and the tool boxes

and some text in R14 is very small/hard to read, with this resolution.
You can enlarge some of the text sizes in display properties-
appearance, but not all of them. You can go to display properties-
settings- advanced , and pick a larger font size, say 160%. This then
takes care of the font/tool box size problem but you get an error
message, "this font size may cause some programs to appear
incorrectly". And it does, when your on the net some web page text runs
together, and some programs with text in columns are overlapped and run
together. Column text type windows in ArchT get run together also. Does
anyone have a way to deal with this problem? Any help appreciated,
thanks in advance, Chris

I don't have a solution for you other than playing around with the Display
properties under Control Panel and trying some of the Schemes supplied with
Windows. Does both your monitor and graphics card support 1600x1200?
I used a 21" NEC monitor with Win98 and now have it running under NT. Works
fine for both.
