Cannot select some DTEXT with Radeon 9800 128 DDR

I have 4 machines with this problem, all have the same video card. ATI
Radeon 9800 128mb DDR AGP cards, all other machines in office do not have
these cards or these problems.

In some drawings, some dtext will appear correctly, but cannot be selected
by picking it. I can Find/Replace a string in the text, and it will update
it, and then it can be selected.
If I use CTRL-A it will show the grip, but the text is not selected. If
moved by the grip, then undo hte move, it can be selected.
I just downloaded the latest ATI drivers and it has not remedied the
situation. Any Ideas?
