Heidi is a girl I knew in High School :-O ....Sorry couldn't resist.

Heidi is the critical core component that coordinates many aspects of 3D graphics application development. It
provides applications with a dynamically configurable framework for managing graphics tasks such as rendering,
shading, hardcopy, and inter-application data transfer. Heidi's unique rendering pipeline allows its own highly
optimized software to complement and augment graphics hardware through a scaleable device interface. The Heidi
system has already been implemented in Autodesk's 3D Studio MAX animation tool and Autodesk's accelerated
WHIP driver for AutoCAD Release 13.
