I was wondering if any one had tryed the new microsoft mouse with
intellieye, the explorer version with the two buttons that you can
custormise sounds like the go. If anyone had tryed this on LT 2000 i would
like to hear how it goes.

I use the new explorer mouse and find the extra 2 buttons extremely useful.
But,,, you can only set them based on a provided list of standard windows
commands (ie: enter,copy, paste,F1, F2, F3,,,,,,,). I have one button set
for "delete" and the other for enter.
Out of the list of available commands, there are probably ones that you too
could find useful to set-up and use. You can't set tthe buttons for specific
acad commands like trim or extend.
Because I now have a button on the mouse for delete, I am hooked on the use
of this mouse.

Can you set one of the buttons to "Esc"? that would be very handy.

The commands that I listed for F1-F9 may or may not be as per the version of
Acad that you are using.
Hope this helps.

I have my buttons set: small front button - delete, large rear button-
enter, and wheel - escape. The wheel button is tricky. When rotating you
have the tendency to press it when not intended. I have trained myself
to rotate by keeping the finger on the side of the wheel instead of on
top. This minimizes the chances of accidentally pressing. With practice,
I have minimized the false presses. I went through the trouble to train
myself because Esc is really handy to have. Might not work for you, but
give it a try. Love the mouse.

and you program the 'F7' key with a macro in the acad menu, you should
be able to do almost anything.
