I use a Summasketch III tablet, Windows 95, and R14. The old Calcomp driver
SG95NT40 has a bug whereby it fails to remember user settings requiring you
to place a shortcut to CCTABLET in your startup folder. The new driver does
not have this problem but has the problem of not recognizing either
puck-button presses or registering on-screen buttons being pushed. I've had
to press buttons at least 3 times to get a command to activate. I returned
to using the older driver as the user-settings bug is less bothersome then
the ongoing button problem.

Anyone else experience this? There's an article in the new Cadence which
refers to a similar problem. Though similar in appearance to their described
problem I have tried slowing down my actions to give my 200mhz!!! enough
time but to no avail. Drafting speed is not the source of the problem.

When you were having this issue where you using the 5.1 wintab driver by
Calcomp? And is the picking issue only a problem in R14 or on the Desktop
also? Are the commands you are trying to issue AutoCAD commands or mouse
commands?
