Help!!!

Can anyone suggest a good video card for a Gateway GP6-400 with 128 MB of
RAM. The current one (an STB Velocity 128) is junk. I'm not going to be
doing any high-end 3D work just mainly using large 2D files. Any suggestion
are appreciated.

Have you tried the latest drivers for the STB Velocity 128?

Yes, I downloaded the drivers from the Gateway Website dated 11/2/99.
Thanks

We have used the ATI Rage Pro 8 and 16 meg cards with good results. The 8mb
card is under 100.00 and the 16mb card is under 150. The 16mb card comes in
two flavors, with and without TV/Video In/Out, you probably don't need that.
If you don't the 16mb card is around 100.00. It works excellent in 2D and
gives you moderate to good 3D perforamce if you need it. There are other
more Cad specific cards out there, but our machines are used for more than
just Cad, so we needed a balance of functionality.
