Any info is greatly appreciated.

I've received and worked with Dell systems in the past little while with
the AGP versions of the STB Velocity128, Matrox Millenium II, and
Diamond FireGL Pro 1000. As Rick Moore has already pointed out, it's
important to check the web sites right away for updated drivers. All
these cards are pretty new. Once the STB card's drivers were updated, it
was OK, but each of the computers I updated was a real battle - multiple
installs of the update, being forced into safe mode, etc, etc. Not very
confidence-inspiring. The Matrox card was solid, but seemed kind of slow
compared to the others. My favorite so far is the Diamond
Permedia2-based card. Again, I had to update the video card's flash BIOS
to cure some Win95 glitches, but it now seems both solid and fast.
Unlike some folks, I've had good luck with Diamond video cards - there
were one or two models which got a bad rep a couple of years ago and I
stayed clear of them, but I've used lots of their products with good
results. I personally have had more troubles with STB and ATI cards,
especially the former, but as always, your mileage may vary...
Oh yeah, all of this is under Win95 OSR2.1 running AutoCAD R13 and R14.
(Not 14.01 yet. Sigh.)
