CalComp referred me to this outfit at least until they get a fix for their
problem with WinXP.

Temporary Solution
Machine is running ADT 2004
I experimented. I switched from using ADT menus to ACAD menus. I copied
the button menus right out of ADT.MNS into ACAD.MNS. THAT DID THE TRICK.
The new Calcomp Drivers don't support AutoCAD verical products. The menu
HAS to be ACAD.

Below is my response to a prior msg from the VTABLET people. The topmost
"thread" or msg is the most recent. That being the case, and in looking at
the dialog below, what could you come up with out here on this forum, that I
might be doing wrong when ADT is the active menugroup? You see, because I
couldn't get the buttons working in the ADT menugroup, I experimented and
tried the ACAD menugroup that was available. Well, guess what? After
copying from the ADT menu and pasting into the ACAD menu, loading the ACAD
menu, now the buttons work. That just doesn't make sense to me. Also, on a
Windows 2000 Pro PC, I didn't have to do this. It's still using the ADT
menus (although with version 7.0 of CadPro Software). So, therefore, CadPro
software also should only need to support the Wintab digitizer interface
inherent in ADT, being a vertical product of AutoCAD. Something seems to be
wrong, therefore, with the WINTAB digitizer interface in Windows XP Pro,
because the ADT menus are not being supported there. Are there those of you
out there using ADT with a TABLET and 16-button puck on a Windows XP
platform that are not finding a problem with the programming of the buttons?
If so, did you have to do anything out of the ordinary to get it to work?
We are not stopped because of this problem, because we don't use the ADT
tools to draw with anyway. (That's another story all by itself.) But we
should try to resolve it if the problem is on our end. I would like a rep
of Autodesk to check this out for me. This problem did not get addressed in
my January posting.
Thank you.

We only support the Wintab digitizer interface inherent in ACAD, not ACAD
native menus files directly. You should not need this facility outside ACAD.

I was using a CADPRO tablet on Autodesk Architectural Desktop which is
AutoCAD driven. The menu is not ACAD.MNC anymore. It is now ADT.MNC.
Version 7.0 of the CADPRO software supported menu files from vertical
products, but version 9.5 does not. We are unable to find our 7.0 disks.
Does VTABLET support ADT menus that are ADT menugroup and that are not part
of ACAD menugroup?
