Options>System Tab, do you have Load acad.lsp for every drawing checked?
How are your lisps set up to load?

This is a bug which affects AutoCAD 2000 when in SDI mode.
To avoid this happening, you should not open your drawings from the history
pull-down.
Always use the Open command.
