Translate multiple layers into one new layer

Hello, I have the following problem with programming in VBa I want to
translate multiple layers to a specific layer. And some other layers
to another specific layer.
To map the first layer to the specific custom layer is no problem. But
the problem is the next one. How can I do that. Because I have an
project with hundreds of drawings which have to be translated. and the
LayTrans utility in AutoCAD 2002 is working one by one so it consumes
to much time.
