I realize that Express Tools is not a supported item but I thought I'd ask
anyway since it has a feature I'd like to try.

I'm trying to install Express Tools (tho I thought I did it during
installation) because I don't see any reference to it in the pull-downs. So
I placed the CD back in my drive and clicked the field to "Install Exress
Tools". Here's the puzzling alert I get.

Dialog box:

AutoCAD Express Tools Volumes 1-9 Setup

Uninstall will remove this feature from the following locations.

AutoCAD 2004

(installed at C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2004)

The way I interpret the above is that:

I will remove AutoCAD 2004 if I proceed. Or

I will remove the existing installation of Express Tools.

What do you think?

Before you install anything, check if you have a "EXPRESS" folder next to
(not in) your "SUPPORT" folder. The Express menu bar does'nt load unless you
tell it to. If it's there, open ACAD, type MENULOAD, get the "acetmain.mns"
file, and click "Load". You should be able to work out the last few simple
steps.
If the EXPRESS folder is'nt there, then you'll have to install it from the
CD. But judging by the message, I would suppose that you do have it
installed, just not loaded.
