I am trying to write a lisp where I can change attached xref files from

HA01CSX25 to HA01GBLRT
etc...

I can command the path pretty easily from the command line.
(command "-xref" "path" "HA01CSX25" "HA01GBLRT" )

However, I'm not sure how to change the actual "reference name".

When I call up the Xref Manager dialog box. In the list of xref files, the
Reference Name is still "...csx25", but under the "Xref Found At" the path
is linked to the correct file "...gblrt.dwg"

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Joe C.

use the rename command
-rename from the command line and in Lisp

You'll get a warning that all related blocks, layers, etc., will also be
renamed... but you want to do that.

Have you thought about linking the new name to the old name out in windows.

Just a thought (to get you thinking :c)

You can click on the name of the Xref in Xref manager and then click on it
again and rename it to anything you like - just like you'd rename a file in
Windows Explorer etc. The name given to an Xref doesn't HAVE to resemble the
Xref drawing file it's reading. Also, you can simply use the rename command.
