This topic comes up a couple of times a year. Looks like a good time
to review: Those who are asking questions should (prior to hitting the send):
1. Indicate which version of AutoCAD you are using. Tell also if you are
using some add-on packages. AutoCAD 2000 solutions will not necessarily
work if you are using R14 or earlier. Those replying don't need to hear:
"That won't work for me cause I'm still using release 9."
2. If applicable, indicate the operating system.
3. Explain the problem clearly enough that even your Mom could understand
it.
4. If possible make a stab at the solution yourself and indicate or attach what
you have already tried. This is so that when those who come to your aid
and ask questions don't get: "I've already done that." or "I've already tried that."
5. Be patient with those replying to your posts. Each of us is ignorant in some
area.
6. Don't reply to questions with smart aleck answers, unless of course you
are making fun of Osama or Sadam or any other safe target.
7. Reread your posts so that asdf fasj;l adlkj af;lk asdfj a;a;qwr tasdf. ;-)
Thanks and have a nice weekend.
Regards,
Doug
