Drawing File Access - Is this Possible?

While in one drawing, I need to access another drawing to get some ldata
information.
Im pretty sure its possible, but have no idea how to dig into another
drawing.

An ideas would be awesome.

Is this other drawing open? If so you could use
ActiveX to access the file (not sure about ldata).

If the drawing is closed you could use ObjectDBX
to gain access. Lots of exmaple of both have been
posted here.
