I JUST STARTED USING LDD, CIVIL & SURVEY SERIES. I'VE BEEN HAVING TROUBLE GETTING IT TO DO THE LINE WORK & PLACE SYMBOLS IN THE DRAWING. WHAT'S THE TRICK? DOES ANYONE HAVE A UDS FOR THIS?

Have you looked at the softdesk.txt file that comes with the Softdesk 8
program ? This text file contains Geodimeter information.

Please let me know if you need further help. The softdesk.txt default
location is: c:\sdsk\programs\sv\geolite.

The Softdesk.txt file is located in the program installation folder:
"C:\sdsk8\Programs\sv\geolite". This file contains all the information for a
Geodimeter user to set up their instrument /data collector for the
appropriate User Defined Sequences (UDS). The information is also found in
the Appendix C of the S8 Survey reference manual found, on the S8 Civil
Survey installation cd in the file: \BOOKSHLF\Sv_ref8.pdf.

The order of the label code sequences must be adhered to, otherwise the
translation utility is not able to convert the raw data. Once you have
decided which UDS Sequence to use, all of our field book commands are
available in both alpha or numeric and explained in the Softdesk.txt file.
The UDS Sequences are uploadable to a Geodimeter instrument.
