One - Add a space object....use the space to help create room finish
schedules later...etc., then you have a space to tag...(the space could be a
1x1 square if you don't care about pulling area calcs from it.
Two - Using Design Center - the first three icons on the design center
window are Desktop, Drawing, and custom.....if you select Desktop then
browse to the same location the custom content is derived from you can
insert the AEC3_RoomTag_P block from the RoomTag.dwg within: ADT content
directories you use.
Not as quick as a third which is create a copy of the ADT tag that you can
insert more quickly for non ADT space related tagging...
Best of luck! (I find I kinda enjoy using spaces...but then there's no
accounting for taste)

All the ADT tags are MVBlocks, that have a AutoCAD block that they
reference. If you don't want to make a schedule of the room tags, then
insert the underlying block sysmbol, just as you would have with ArchT, and
fill out the attributes. You won't be able to make a schedule of the blocks
using the ADT tools, but your drawing will have the label in them.
FYI, you could also set up the room tags to work of a polyline, however you
won't have the "generateSpace" command to help you place them.
(generateSpace can also place tags automatically for each room)

the command - AecAnnoScheduleTagAdd - needs SOMETHING to add the Property
Set Definition(s) from the - PropertySetDefs.dwg - to. Otherwise, there is
nothing to generate the schedule from!
You could use other commands - such as AecAnnoSymbolAdd - to just place the
Room tag (make sure none of the attributes are pulling info from a property
set definition!) then manually try attaching the property set, say, to the
tag itself.

Russell, just to let you know, I ported our old office menu over to ADT3.3
as well, so my users can continue inserting "dumb" roomtags while I get
things customized. It shouldn't take you very long to do this also. As for
C, you CAN edit the ACAD.PGP file to change this.
Most of my office is mad at me because ADT "changed" the "T" command to
MTEXT from what they were used to here, TRIM. I personally never used T for
trim, always TR. You can please most of the people some of the time....

My Work around was to create an AecContent that had the tag and space
already inside it.
1. insert a space (3' x 3')
2. attach a space tag to it.
3. Create a block of the space and tag
4.Create an AecContent using the Block I just made
5. Make sure you set it to Explode
6. Save it to the COntent directory
Now you are ready to tag a room and the space automatically inserts with the
tag. Just edit the name and number.
