I recently purchased several sets of images from ImageCels for use in Viz
renderings. So far I have not figured out how to import the images into a
rendering using Viz3i. Can someone tell me how to do this.

Hi Joe,

Nice to see you here :o)

There are two main posibilities;

1 create some geometry (a flat surface, either extruding a spline, a
rectangle, etc.) and apply to it a material that will have in diffuse map
channel your tiff bitmap, you copy (not instance) the bitmap into the
opacity map channel and set it to use alpha (your bitmaps come with alpha
channel) and you map your geometry aplying UVW Map modifier so it keeps
proportioanlity, and use this object in your scenes, you may need to use
raytraced shadows.

2 If only adding a couple of bitmaps to an image, you may add them in your
favorit photoretouching software...

with practice you'll find what works best for you.

I took your advice on importing ImageCel images. It works perfectly. I
really appreciate your help.
