### Enabling mv2 support in Chrome

1. https://www.autocontrol.app/force-enable-Manifest-V2-support

   • Download Force Manifest V2 availability.reg to your computer.
   • Double-click on the file and confirm the message box.

   This action could be reverted by Remove Manifest V2 availability.reg + steps 2, 3.

2. Go to chrome://policy and click on the Reload policies button.

3. Go to chrome://flags/

   • Switch Allow legacy extension manifest versions to Enabled
   • Maybe Temporarily unexpire * flags also required.
   • Restart the browser.

4. Run browser with shortcut parameter (add to Target field in details)
   -disable-features=ExtensionManifestV2Unsupported,ExtensionManifestV2Disabled
   It seems not required in Chrome 138, but 140+ (dev/canary) does not allow enabling mv2 extensions without this command.

After that, you may install the extension from official store

I seem to have a problem with the Force Manifest- might be because my Chrome version isn't up to par- instead of 143.0.7445.0, mine's 142.0.7416.0- any way I can fix it?

Please try to run just this, if you have MacOS (check the app's path)
"/Applications/Google Chrome.app/Contents/MacOS/Google Chrome" --disable-features=ExtensionManifestV2Unsupported,ExtensionManifestV2Disabled

In Windows - same parameters. I use it from 138 to 143. In macos I did not change any flags - just run and install the extension (if you need another mv2 extension, like ad blocker).
