single and double tap different action.

For example, if I press A it should perform one action, but when I press A twice, it will perform different action, but also perform action associated for single press. This should not happen, tried negating the first press method, but that is also doing the same thing, i.e. tapping A twice, will also perform action associated to single tap. Can any one share a workaround for this.
