Lately I've been suffering this really annoying behavior. AC just stops working on my secondary browser window.
I finally manage to find a way to reproduce it:
1. I open the browser and it works fine.
2. I do an "Emergency Repair" on my secondary browser window and the toolbar icon says 'OK' in green, BUT then it stops working. So in fact is doing just the opposite of what is supposed to.
3. I do an "Emergency Repair" again and then it says the infamous: "The following window was misidentified as belonging to a different browser profile"
and it doesn't work either. I have to close the entire window and reopen it again with all its tabs for it to work again... for a time.
How can I fix this issue?

More info on the issue: it only happens when the browser window is on a secondary display.
