Save element timestamp

Since changing from Chrome to Brave I've been having this weird behaviour with Autocontrol: When using "save element url" to download images you're hovering over creates a file with the original site timestamp instead of the date/time you saved it. Is there a way to change this behaviour so the date metadata is based on the time you downloaded the file? As an artist with a reference folder with 53k files it can be frustrating when you download a new reference and it ends up lost down in the folder as I sort by date modified.
