To all those who complain that the extension stopped working

Google is trying to disable a lot of extensions because of their own stupid practices. But they can't remove them, so they just turn them off. Just turn it back on and ignore their stupid warning, don't rate it zero, don't be fools! This extension is a work of art! The tiny executable it requires is needed so that the extension can run your! scripts and your! programs, like the OPEN FILE/PROGRAM function, and so that it can work on tabs, standard extension can't.

Google is gradually disabling support for MV2 extensions. You can re-enable MV2 support by following the instructions in the following page:

Haven't seen a satisfying post in this thread about alternatives once mv3 gets enforced yet. I heard all Chromium based browsers will switch to mv3 in June too. Would it be possible to continue using an old version of chrome? Or AC-compatible browsers that won't move to mv2 (only heard that's Firefox and that's a no go with AC) And will the mv2 version of AC still be downloadable once everything goes to mv3? I love the features and that there will be a useable mv3 version of AC but i feel most of my usage nowadays involves pubVars and running scripts. Just wanna know if when the time comes, would we have any options to stay in mv2 or is there an alternate way to run scripts or have public variables in mv3?(even if it involves pairing up AC usage with another program) Thanks!
