autocontrol overriding vivaldi gestures

i just found out that opening a link in a new tab isn't possible with autocontrol in my browser. Vivaldi does have its own gestures that would allow me to do this, but I think autocontrol overrides them. Anyone know how I can macreate a gesture that'll open a link in a new tab in vivaldi?
