4.0.0.a.0.4 (prealpha 4) released

The Auto Project is happy to announce the immediate availability of Auto 4.0.0.a.0.4 (prealpha 4).

Highlights of this prerelease include that the gem has been renamed from "autobot" to "Auto," and that logging and customized exceptions are now handled by libauto, a new C extension we have begun to enhance performance of Auto over a pure-Ruby implementation.

Currently, we expect people installing the gem to have a sane build environment, as native binaries are not yet available. Moreover, this prerelease is not functional on non-POSIX systems; support for Microsoft Windows will be restored in the future.
