Auto3DEM ver. 4.05

We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of a new release of AUTO3DEM, available at http://cryoem.ucsd.edu/programs.shtm.
A complete list of the modifications and improvements can be found in the modification history file (MINOR_RELEASE_NOTES) provided with the software.
In addition to minor bug fixes and code optimization, there are some changes that are noteworthy:
- the gold standard procedure is now fully supported (flag gold_standard in auto3dem master/continue files). Another email will follow shortly with some information about it;
- added option in autopp to generate stack parameter files in agreement with the gold standard procedure (option 6);
- support for Mac platforms: the file INSTALL_MAC provides all the information on how to install the libraries need to compile the programs on OSX;
- RobEM can now visualize large maps (>1200 pixels along each size). Added an option (-fastload) to use when launching the program to minimize the loading time of a map (although radial profiles can not be analyzed);
- functions in autopp dedicated to preprocessing stacks of particles, can avoid to mask box corners (options B, F and O) and can delete the input stacks immediately after generating the processed stack (options F and O), on request by the user;
