We are pleased to announce
the immediate availability of a new release of AUTO3DEM, available
at http://cryoem.ucsd.edu/programs.shtm.
This release contain minor
changes and improvements, plus some additions:
-
implemented a procedure for mask-focused refinement, to refine the
particles parameters with respect to a sub-volume of interest. The
procedure is activated using the option 'po2r mask_map' in the
auto3dem configuration file;
- new programs have been added to gather statistics on a run
(a3dm_dat_stats), plot the particle scores (a3dm_plot_score),
select stable particles (a3dm_sel_stableparts), to rotate an
icosahedral map from standard orientation to one with a five-fold
axis along the z axis (a3dm_icosrotate), and to screen micrographs before processing them (a3dm_mg_inpect_prepare/a3dm_mg_inspect);
- added ability to process two
half sets concurrently, optimizing the
allocation of cpu resources (options 'auto
evod_parallel' and 'p3dr cpu_sparse' in the
ocnfiguration file);
- a tool (a3dm_snapshot) is provided to gather
information about a run, to send to developers for
troubleshooting.
A complete list can be found in the website
and in the modification history file (MINOR_RELEASE_NOTES)
provided with the software.
We hope that you will find these changes useful.
