2001 Jeep Grand Gherokee

Hello:

I'm new to the group, the reason I joined is to see if I can get an answer to a question that has been bothering me,

I have a front seal leak in the automatic tranmission of my old 2001 Grand Cherokee, It's in good shape otherwise.

and is a nice confortable old vehicle. I was wondering if one of the additivies available would help to stop this leak.

I don't use this vehicle much,  it mostly sits there in the garage with a pan under it to catch the drips.

I don't really wish to spend a lot on money having the tranmission pulled out to replace this seal,

So I wonder if these additives (like the 'blue devil'  at Canadian Tire) work or could they do more damage to the transmission.

Maybe someone knows of a really good one and has used it on a similar problem.
