I noticed a musty smell coming from the A/C vents of our 2005 Toyota
Corolla S. This prompted me to buy a new cabin air filter since the
car has over 65,000 miles on it and I've never cleaned or replaced it.

Replacing the cabin air filter is a fairly easy procedure. I took
pictures of the process and wrote up a quick guide.

Here's the guide -

Now the HVAC system seems to blow air out with slightly more force,
the car cools down more quickly and the air doesn't smelly stale
anymore. The $11.99 price of the new cabin air filter was well worth
it.
