Guys,
I am after some help. My family and i are moving to Queensland later
this year. My son who is 16 and will be going into year 11 next year
is a high functioning Asperger's boy. he is presently in a Catholic
High School with independance in a couple of classes and a learning
assistant in others. He has no behavioural problems.

Does anyone have any reccomendations on good high schools for such a
boy.

Hi there,

We live in Brisbane and our son is starting high school next year. We
have looked at St Edmunds in North Ipswich and it seems to be a great
school. It's a bit of a hike for us but it has only about 800
students and the facilities at the school are amazing. It's an all
boys catholic so it shouldn't be too much of a change for your son. I
don't know how much help your son needs but it would be worthwhile
checking it out. All the staff I have spoken to there are wonderful
and friendly and their office is highly efficient. I don't have any
personal experience but I'm happy and confident to send my son there
next year.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Hi, have you tried contacting Autism Queensland? They may have some
suggestions. It would also depend on where in Queensland you're
moving to... Good luck!
