Hi Carly,
I have 11 year old son with Autism- severe and 13 yr daughter  with Aspergers/Anxiety. I suggest you contact Autism Qld 32730000 and ask to speak with a social worker and the Outreach team. Also try Project Circuit Breaker - 3621 4000, also Minds and Hearts could help 3844 9466. That is only few suggestions depending on the area that you live. Also look for Commonwealth Carers and respite agencies. I hope that helps. Its is a  long journey , good luck.

Hi there. I am new to this! I am hoping someone out there can give me
advise? My son of 11yrs has been diagnosed with Aspergers and either
ADD or ADHD. My husband and i are struggling to cope with his
behaviour. The doctors etc are not much help at all. I have a list as
long as my arm to do with his rude, inappropriate outbursts. To most
people he seems normal, but he isn't. His ''friends'' take the mickey
out of him and he cant even see it. I just don't know how to cope with
him on a daily basis. My husband (who isnt his dad) is on the verge of
leaving cos he cant cope either. My 4 yr old daughter often gets upset
due to my sons behaviour.
Any tips on how to cope would be amazing!
And to top it off, my son has started self harming too!!!! Aghhh!!!
