Hi !

There is a very good reason that no-one is interacting with this group and it is related to  time it takes for the posts to

Go online.

There used to be about a 12 hr lag for the posts sometimes less.

Then it took days and spiralled  out to often weeks. So in effect it was a pointless exercise and the group became inactive.

When this group was well facilitated it was an excellent resource to parents.

The AQ FB page is not an appropriate place to post concerns re your child or get detailed peer support.

AQ asked this question and unanimously the online support group said NO.

It is a grave shame that this resource has been so badly managed. As the “first stop” for many parents

AQ  should be ashamed of  what has happened to this group. As a newly diagnosed parent when this group was set up

I often found the support from other parents on here invaluable.

As an AQ member I would like to know who has been in charge of this resource, why it has been left to become inactive

And what is AQ going to do about it ?

Not good enough AQ.

I look forward to your response.

Thankyou.

Hi Sarah,

Thanks for your reply, the group is, and always has been, moderated by
the Family Support Team. That has been myself and Becky for about a
year, we have checked it religously every day and there have not been
any messages from parents for months, as can be seen. What you might
be talking about is the period last year before July when we started
and AQ did not have anyone moderating the site and there were no
Social Workers for a few months. I can not think of a time since we
started when messages would take more than 24 hours to be posted.
And, we can't speak on behalf of AQ or anyone, prior to when we
started. The messages come straight to our inbox and therefore, can
be moderated and posted quite quickly. Once again, thanks for your
reply, we also think this is a great resource, a different and more
private medium to Facebook and if we see that parents are interested,
we will keep it going.

Warm regards,

Kathy - FST

Dear all
I didn't realize how freely available the information from this site can be googled for public viewing and therefore I do not wish to continue to use it.
Thanks
