to Autism PROMNET – Outcome Measures for Autism Research
Hello everyone,

My name is Jolie Straus and I am a Ph.D. student working with Dr. Jeffrey Wood at UCLA. We are reaching out with information about our current study.

We are providing a virtual training opportunity that utilizes a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy training protocol which has been found to be effective for youth on the spectrum with emotion dysregulation (linked here). An online free version of the manual can be found at meya.ucla.edu.

We are actively recruiting practicing clinicians across the state of California. While we know that the Autism PROMNET SIG is multidisciplinary and reaches an international audience, we hope to collaborate with California clinicians for participation in our study.

If you are not living or practicing in the state of California, we would greatly appreciate you forwarding this post along to your networks.

If you are a practicing clinician in the state of California, please read below for recruitment information:

We are recruiting community care practitioners within the state of California for a virtual training opportunity that utilizes a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy training protocol. We are looking for California practitioners who work in a 1:1 weekly setting with children (ages 6-14) with emotional and behavioral difficulties on the autism spectrum. Practitioners include anyone who works with children on the spectrum who would benefit from a clinical service, such as therapists, counselors, SLPs, OTs, BCBAs, and graduate students or those in training.

California practitioners participating in our study may be compensated up to $2500 through our partnership with the Department of Defense’s Mental Health Initiative. Children and their families who participate are also eligible for compensation.

If you would like to learn more about the study, please email us at cy...@gseis.ucla.edu or call us at (310) 882-0537.

We hope to hear from you soon!

With warm wishes,
CYAN Study at UCLA
