Hi

My template uses autotext in the TOC for the Chapter / Appendix labels, for example:

Chapter 1. <name>……………………………pg

Is there a way to change this text for localization without using a different Word template for each language? Specifically, if the template has a few translations of the word Chapter defined as autotext, how can I specify each one when publishing?

Thanks

Jill

Hi Jill,

If you only have a few of them (4 or less) you could use the book properties and then just use a separate book for each language (or perhaps a variant of the book).

Alternatively, use one book property to specify the language and then a macro to set the text based on the language.
