Variants not filtering during publishing after upgrade to 6.1.15

After upgrading to 6.1.15 some variants are not resolved (in the Word output) as defined during publishing. This occurs for LOV variants. None of the possible values are published.

Has anyone else experienced similar behavior? Any ideas about the resolution?

Oops - just saw Ben's similar problem below. If anyone has found any other solutions since then - I'd love to hear about it!
