Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone else experienced this problem and found a solution. I use a "See Also" heading in the Related Topics tab for adding specific links to a topic. However, when I publish to WebHelp or CHM, sometimes the related topics publish and sometimes they don't.

Thanks,
Leah

Did the sub-tabs of See Also have the type of topic selected?
(Child, Parent, etc)
Can you see a difference in topic template between what publishes and what doesn't?

I had already checked the sub-tabs of the topics where some topics publish the See Also and some topics don't. In both cases, there are no topic types checked as I don't want a topic type to be included. I only want the specific links I added to publish. There is no difference in topic template between publishes and what doesn't. I thought of that too. :-(

If the topic of the specific link is not in the book that you publishing, the link will not be created.
Did you check the publishing log?

Yes. I had checked the publishing log. The linked topics are in the book. (Thanks so much for brainstorming....I am really baffled by this).

Did you select See Also and look at "Include this Group in" on the Appearance subtab for each non cooperative topic?

The "Include this Group in" option is governed by a See Also template I created. It is automatically checked for WebHelp and Help. But, just to make sure, I checked them again now. They are all checked correctly.

I think you should open a case and send them an xml of included templates and objects.
